Pc-Check® Tests New AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor

Eurosoft (UK) Ltd., worldwide developers of computer diagnostic and test products, announced a new release of Pc-Check® to meet the release of the AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 dual-core processor. Eurosoft’s latest Pc-Check version 6.00 includes new testing improvements to its advanced processor tests, with support for the new AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual-core processor. Pc-Check full-spectrum hardware analysis and component testing accommodates all types of computer systems – servers, desktops, notebooks and industrial-based computers.

Pc-Check now supports the new AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual-core processor, AMD Athlon 64 processor, AMD Opteron processor and previous AMD Athlon XP processors. Updated CPU testing includes the x-86 based AMD64 technology instruction set tests to examine the features in all modern processors. This gives manufacturers, integrators and resellers the latest industry-standard processor tests to fully validate processor functionality for multi-media applications. Other Pc-Check improvements include XML Hardware Identification allowing component comparisons in XML format during interactive and burn-in testing options. Compliant with desktops and servers, Pc-Check has reduced its memory footprint so it requires less memory to run, speeding up all testing processes.

Pc-Check is a software-based solution, with over five-hundred hardware test points, running from one diskette or CDROM, independent of operating systems or networks. Pc-Check is used worldwide to test and report on computer hardware configurations and faults during manufacturing and repair services. Pc-Check v6.00 will be shipping in June.
