Business

Which product license is the best for me?

Eurosoft’s products are available as a package license, site licenses* or pay-per-use licenses. In all cases, you need 1 license per machine that is running the software, or has the software installed at the same time.

Example 1: You have 5 technicians in the field repairing PCs. Each technician is supplied with a diagnostic software license, 5 package licenses in total.

Example 2: You have a PC production line with a maximum of 1000 PCs being tested at the same time. In this situation, a 1000 user site license is an option. A site license covers a set number of test stations within a single location.

Example 3: You embed the diagnostics on a PC for remote testing capability. These licenses are paid for and downloaded from the Eurosoft (UK) Ltd server. They can be installed to fixed media (drives) at any time, but only run on one PC for a limited time.

*For large site manufacturing, integration and refurbishing, consider an annual Non-USB site license for flexible use within your workflow.

To scale up with automation, consider the PC Builder Test Management Suite. Monthly Advance Pay or a Pay-Per-Use license allowing you to spread the cost monthly.

We also offer Development Team licensing for proprietary solutions. Please contact us directly to discuss any license option.

Will I still get updates if I do not register Eurosoft product?

To receive full program updates, technical support and eligible discounts, products need to be registered with Eurosoft. Pay-Per-Use license and site license customers are automatically registered when they purchase. Pack license customers will need to Register Online. Note: Training schools require ‘activation codes’ to run which you will be sent by email after the product has been registered.

How often do you send out updates?

Software updates are released 2 to 3 times per year, depending on industry or hardware changes, sometimes more. Customers are notified by email and if you have a valid, in-date Update and Support Subscription, you can download the update from the Eurosoft eTestManager emailed to you. Update and Support Subscriptions are renewable on an annual basis.

NOTE: All support, updates and maintenance are included for 12 months from the date of original purchase, except for other agreed software licenses. The maintenance and updates of the Eurosoft products is continual to keep them aligned with current testing and data erasure methods. Your annual product renewal subscription is devoted to product improvements.

How long is my software license use period?

Software Updates and Support Subscriptions are included for 1-year with original purchase.
Continued receipt of software updates and support is available with an annual Update & Support Subscription. Continued (perpetual)  use of the software is managed with an annual license only update from our eTestManager system. ZeroData Windows Annual License requires a yearly renewal for continued usage.

Most Eurosoft product licenses may be used continuously (perpetually). Exceptions include licenses that are pay-per-use, site license and certain limited use licenses. In addition, should a product or its license face security challenges or industry changes which are unpredictable, such as “end-of-life” (EOL) status or security breaches, the license may be discontinued.

To monitor and control product license situations, the program may present a message that it will or has expired. In the event you experience a program expiration or the program has stopped working, please go to the website and contact Eurosoft Technical Support or send an email to support@eurosoft-uk.com. We will investigate your issue, which may simply be that you need a new program license or update, or perhaps a renewed USB product device license. NOTE: To receive updates and technical support, you must have a current, up-to-date subscription.

Do you offer discounts for volume or multiple licenses?

Yes, discounts are available when purchasing larger quantities of licenses, whether single or bundled packs, site licenses or pay-per-use licenses.

Are there special discounts for education and charities?

Yes, discounts are offered to schools, training organisations, students and charities. To verify that you are current and official, proof is required to receive a discount (example: business license, charity organisation license, active student card).

If I purchase my Eurosoft product from the webshop, will I get my software immediately?

Automated purchases are available online at the webshop. Because each license is unique to your USB program device, a security activation code is assigned your purchase, then delivered by mail/courier to you along with any test accessory hardware to the physical address you provided. Webshop ordering is convenient and available 24 hours.

How do you keep my order information secure?

Eurosoft uses trusted third-party payment providers that process credit card and bank transactions in accordance with applicable PCI security requirements. All data transmitted between your browser and our website is protected using industry-standard encryption.

For security reasons, Eurosoft does not store customers’ payment card details on its systems.

How will you deliver my product order?

Products that are software only may be delivered as downloadable files, with unique activation codes emailed separately.
Deliveries of products with hardware or test accessories are delivered using the following services:
Domestic UK: Royal Mail Special Delivery
International / UK to Europe: Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed
International / UK to rest of world: Royal Mail International Signed
Domestic USA: FedEx or UPS
NOTE: Recorded or registered postage is the slowest delivery method. It does not guarantee tracking or personal delivery, nor does it include insurance. FedEx courier is the quickest delivery and includes tracking, personal receipt and insurance. Eurosoft only uses FedEx for problematic postage destinations, large orders or amounts over USD$500 / GBP£800).

Is there any warranty on the hardware tools that come with most of the products?

A: Eurosoft offers warranties for certain conditions depending on the hardware item as follows:

USB Program Device (USBPD) Replacement Policy

Active Upgrade and Support Subscription:
Replace faulty returned USBPD Free of charge one time.
Replace damaged returned USBPD at 50% of USBPD add-on price.
Replace LOST USBPD at full USBPD add-on price.
Receive latest version of product.

Expired Upgrade and Support Subscription:
Replace LOST or Damaged USBPD at full USBPD add-on price.
Replace faulty returned USBPD at 50% of USBPD add-on price.
Receive last version supplied by subscription.

Other Test Accessories*


Year 1:
If any of the Test Accessories fail during the warranty period and are returned to a Eurosoft office, it will be replaced free of charge.
If they fail during the warranty period due to misuse by the customer (accidental damage to the connector or similar) and returned to Eurosoft, a replacement fee of 50% of the current list price will be charged.
Lost or not returned Test Accessories are replaceable at full list price.

Year 2:
If the Support and Upgrade subscription is renewed for year 2 and onward, failed Test Accessories (accidental damage, or wear and tear), return to Eurosoft, a replacement fee of 50% of the current list price will be charged.
Lost Test Accessories are replaceable at full list price.
All expired Support and Upgrade subscriptions Test Accessories are replaceable at full list price.
*Excludes CD-ROM and DVD-ROM media, carry-all zipper bags.

Technical

What operating system (OS) environments do your products support?

The Pc-Check UEFI pre-boot diagnostic editions supports native UEFI environment without any OS, device drivers or other environment required. Original Pc-Check (self-boot) diagnostic boots from its own operating system environment, EuroDOS. Pc-Check Windows supports current Windows Desktop versions and Windows Pre-Execution Environment (WinPE) AIK/ADK 32bit and 64bit. PC Builder supports Server/SQL versions [ask for your requirement] and Windows Desktop versions and Windows Pre-Execution Environment (WinPE) AIK/ADK 32bit and 64bit.

Do your products include any dependencies that must be implemented to run the programs?

Pc-Check UEFI, Pc-Check Windows, Pc-Check Self-boot (and their combined or chained versions), and ZeroData Windows require the presence of the Eurosoft USB Preferred Port Plug as standard. Certain site licensed products are available for purchase for non-USB use as well as products with pay-per-use access.

Is there scripting support available for your product?

Yes, all Eurosoft Pc-Check diagnostic suite offers the ability to setup any test script within its user interface for your requirements. Choose by test type, component to be tested, full system, duration, laps, time, etc. and save by your preferred script name. The ZeroData Windows software has prebuilt scripts for data erasure. Please ask for help with command line scripting or other requirement which is dependent on product and license type.

Where are my report files and how are they named?

Each product includes a dedicated folder for your outputs and report files named \Results.

The default report name in Pc-Check Windows is constructed using a combination of the date-time. Report names in Pc-Check Windows are highly configurable, and can include Windows® specific value that is retrieved at start-up such as Current user Username, Machine name, Operating System, and Operating System Platform, attributes captured in the report such as system serial number, MAC address, and any custom string values, entered when prompted, such as job number.

 

The default report name in Pc-Check UEFI is constructed using a combination of the date-time. Optionally, a job number entered when the program starts, can be used in the file name.

The default report name in ZeroData Windows is constructed using a combination of the date-time and an erasure UUID. Additional identifiers such as Disk ID, Disk Serial Number, Disk World Wide Number, followed by the date and time to distinguish multiple erasures within the same session are optional.

Can I back-up my USB Program Device (aka pen drive, flash drive)?

The Eurosoft products are only valid when supplied on a USB Program Device. You can save the product files for back-up, but they must be reinstalled on to a Eurosoft USB Program Device in order to run. If you lose the USB Program Device, you must purchase a replacement to continue using the program. Please contact your sales representative or email info@eurosoft-uk.com and they will contact you. Please be sure to include your purchasing information, including your name, company, physical address, email, telephone and/or mobile.

Does your software support remote reporting? (example: uploading results of completed diagnostic tests onto a local or remote computer)?

No, our software fully supports field and remote operations through our Fixed Disk (hard drive) and BIOS versions. While the software itself does not directly manage remote file transfers, it integrates seamlessly with your preferred third-party tools to automate session initiation and data delivery. Each failure result is provided from a QR code which is scanned to reveal the test details, and allow informed contact with a support operator.

Can I put the product USB on a server and test multiple PCs connected to that server?

No. Each unit under test requires the local presence of the Eurosoft USB Device. Multi-station test and erase with Multi-User Packages and Site License.

Can I save my results and reports to a network or to the cloud?

The Eurosoft products are only valid when supplied on a USB Program Device. You can save the product files for back-up, but they must be reinstalled on to a Eurosoft USB Program Device in order to run. If you lose the USB Program Device, you must purchase a replacement to continue using the program. Please contact your sales representative or email info@eurosoft-uk.com and they will contact you. Please be sure to include your purchasing information, including your name, company, physical address, email, telephone and/or mobile.

Which versions of your software do you offer technical support for?

Eurosoft provides technical support for the currently released version of all the products we provide. Eurosoft highly recommends that you renew your product license subscriptions to ensure you have the latest tests, industry changes and known bug fixes.

How long do you offer technical support after we purchase your product?

Technical support is valid for 1-year after the date of purchase. Each yearly subscription renewal entitles you to continued technical support and updates. A multi-year technical support and upgrade subscription may be purchased. Please contact your sales representative to discuss or email info@eurosoft-uk.com and they will contact you.

How do I get technical support to answer my question?

Please go to the Eurosoft website Support Portal for a variety of information. For a specific reason that needs personal assistance, please contact Eurosoft Technical Support to complete a support ticket or send an email to support@eurosoft-uk.com. 

Include as much detail as possible about the problem you are experiencing, including the hardware/brand/model/component/age/configuration/etc. you are testing and the Eurosoft product and version you are using.

We will investigate your issue, which may require a discussion with engineering or review of your test report. Please see our opening times on the website. Delays can be expected during busier times such as update releases and holiday closures. REMINDER: Without a valid email address, we cannot send you updates or advice on our products. It is highly advisable that you “whitelist” Eurosoft to ensure you receive our emails.
